It's in the way we handle the hard times.
Disappointment comes when you can handle it. The kind of thing for which you'll (not very composedly) say "I might have known! Enough positive things have happened to me today!". And then you are to face the dilemma: should I just give up trying, making my way to fatal dejection, or should I just say to myself the "okay, next time I'll do better" typical kind of advice that people use just because everybody else says so?
This time I'll go for the vast majority (a.k.a 'mass'), because this time it is true indeed. You have to stick to your goal, put your blinders on and not get distracted by any kind of possible incident that just might mislead you from your way to accomplishment. Otherwise you're falling in the trap, making yourself a live bait, an appetizing, mouthwatering decoy shouting "dinner ready!" for everything worse to come.
