Beware of... everything.

Fear... So dishonest a thing. There is no being wanting it, nevertheless it is so easy to acquire. Fear dies for human entrails. It lives in the eyes of the weak souls because it knows very well the ones who will accept it passively, while not having something 'better' to do. But we can all do something better. Take that very simple example of the circus. When I was little, I would love the circus. I loved seeing the ballerinas doing stunts in a single rope without losing their balance, the girls with fancy suits flying from one link to another, especially the clowns. But the most impressive for me was the elephant. The largest animal, the strongest the most impressive. One day we happened to pass the "backstage" to see the largest elephant tied on a small stake. And I thought: Since it is such a strong animal, able to pull out the stake with a move, and leave, why doesn't it do it? Some told me that the elephant is docile. But once it is docile, then why be tied on a stake?
Eventually I found a man wise enough to answer my question: The same elephant, was tied to a same stake since he was very very little. Back then, it tried again and again to escape, but as it understood that it wasn't worth trying, the baby elephant stopped trying. These indelible words were reflected in its mind:
"I am not capable of this, and I'll never be."
